Luz Aidé Osorio Arias is Colombian and has been leading birdwatching tours in Colombia for six years. She fell in love with the world of birds at just eight years old, having been born and raised in the Río Blanco Nature Reserve in Manizales, Colombia—a reserve that was beginning to gain international recognition for its birdlife about 20 years ago.
Through this early immersion in nature, she became involved in various environmental projects and trained as a professional bilingual birdwatching and nature guide. Although she pursued a career as a psychologist, she never lost her connection to the world of birds.
Luz Aidé greatly enjoys being a guide. She is passionate about teaching others about Colombia through its birds, while also learning about the world through each person she meets.
