Oscar is a nature lover, born in the eastern part of Costa Rica's Central Valley, in Paraíso. He had the opportunity to visit national parks and protected areas close to his home. This sparked his interest in exploring more of the country's regions and volunteering at various national parks in Costa Rica.
A graduate of Ecological Tourism from the University of Costa Rica, he has worked as an environmental educator since 2012. He has also worked as a birdwatching tour guide in the Talamanca Highlands on Cerro de la Muerte and has led birdwatching groups around the country.
He currently collaborate on research projects as an assistant. In addition to collaborating with environmental education processes in schools and colleges. And of course, he continues to share his passion and love for birds as a tour guide.
