Nacho Barrionuevo, a native of Andalusia, Spain, has always had a strong interest in birds, but his fascination deepened when a bird guide in Tablas de Daimiel National Park ignited his passion for Little Bitterns and Bearded Tits. The itch to find and learn about birds has continued to grow ever since. Nacho pursued studies in Biology in university, and as a result did some research in forest bird communities. He worked in wildlife monitoring programmes for environmental impact studies and in some national specific surveys with an array of species. Nacho has also co-authored several bird guides about his home region, Málaga. Since 2022, Nacho been guiding birding tours in mainland Spain, the Canary Islands and Morocco. Guiding for him joins two passions: being immersed in nature and sharing with what he loves with others.
