Oli grew up in Essex, England, where his fascination with the natural world began at an early age. He spent much of his childhood exploring Colchester Zoo and discovering the rich birdlife of his local nature reserves.
After studying Animal Management at university, Oli moved to South Africa to fulfil a lifelong ambition: becoming a qualified safari guide and working in the African bush. Following his time in the Lowveld, he returned to the UK and continued guiding, leading birdwatching walks and tours. Away from guiding, Oli enjoys travelling, taking part in wildlife surveys, and organising birding events that inspire and connect young people with nature.
