Fernando Gross is a self-taught ornithologist from Andalusia, southern Spain. The provinces of Sevilla and Cádiz are his preferred areas, where he has been birdwatching intensively for over a decade. His particular fascination for raptors has taken him to the Gibraltar Strait in countless occasions, and as far as Georgia for migration monitoring. Fernando is currently based in Sevilla, where he carries out fieldwork to locate and protect Montagu´s Harrier nesting sites.
