Diego Rodriguez lives in the Monteverde Cloud Forest of Costa Rica. Diego is an avid birder in Costa Rica with extensive experience in this country. He started birdwatching when he was around 8 years old and began guiding when he was 15, becoming the youngest guide in Monteverde at that time, earning the respect of his peers.
Diego worked at the second-best raptor count site in the world in Costa Rica, Kekoldi Hawkwatch. This gave him the opportunity to visit the United States, where he went to Hawk Mountain to teach and practice for about 3 months.
Diego is not only an avid birdwatcher but also dedicated to the conservation and research of migratory and resident species in Costa Rica. He is a certified bird bander in Mexico, Costa Rica, and the United States. He has collaborated on various bird projects in Costa Rica.
