Gavin has had a lifelong passion for birding, dating back to his first experience at Point Pelee National Park when he was just seven years old. Since then, he has traveled extensively within Canada, and internationally to locations such as Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, and Ecuador in search of birds.
After moving to Calgary, Alberta from southern Ontario in 2015, he was eager to explore his new home and quickly became familiar with the area. In addition to his personal birding pursuits, Gavin greatly enjoys sharing his passion with others in the form of guiding tours. He is also actively involved in the birding community and is a volunteer eBird reviewer for southern Alberta.
