Eric Newton - Birding Guide & Biologist

Eric grew up in southern Ontario where he inherited a love for birds from his grandfather. As a kid, Eric was always found in a nearby natural area looking for birds and any animals he could find.

After University, field biology has taken him to British Columbia to work on a number of projects in research and consulting. It is in the diverse ecosystems of BC where his love of birds became an obsession. A regular contributor to Ebird, he enjoys trips to Vancouver Island in search of seabirds.. Where he lives in the Okanagan Valley, he regularly volunteers with the Vaseux Lake Bird Observatory monitoring bird migration while also guiding and sharing his passion for the unique Okanagan fauna.
