Adam was born and raised in rural Manitoba. A birder and naturalist from a very young age he spent his youth in the field - birding, conducting faunal surveys and gaining an intimate knowledge of the natural history of the area. Over the past decade he has broadened his horizons and traveled extensively on every continent seeing nearly 8,000 species of bird in the process. He has guided hundreds of birders and done research on some of the most critically endangered birds in the world including Black Robin and Spoon-billed Sandpiper.
Adam loves to travel and learn about not only birds but all aspects of natural history and delights in sharing that knowledge with others. Other interests include human history (for which he has university degree), hiking, and scuba diving.
