has a deep interest in all birds but in the winter gulls become his focus.
He has become internationally recognized as an expert on gull identification.
He has co-authored leading edge articles on gull identification published

the year regardless of the weather and location. He works as wildlife
biologist for an environmental consulting company in St. John’s,
Newfoundland.
